TiE: Women's Forum: Wine, Chocolate, & Women

TiE Women's Forum is BACK!

TiE Women's Forum (TWF) is launching into 2009 with wine, chocolate and the WOMEN of TiE! Join us for a women's-only networking and educational evening to meet fellow members, share ideas, inspire each other, learn something you didn't know about wine and chocolate and, of course, sample some of these delicious treats!

TiE Women's Forum is a networking group within TiE. It was created to foster a professional community amongst the women of TiE, across all industries and job functions. Its mission is to develop and mentor its members to allow them to succeed as entrepreneurs and leaders. The network is open to all TiE members who are passionate about career growth, developing leadership skills, sharing best practices, and enriching the TiE member base.

The education and tasting will be lead by Alyssa Rapp, Founder and CEO of Bottlenotes. About Alyssa Rapp, Founder and CEO of Bottlenotes


Alyssa J. Rapp is the Founder and CEO of Bottlenotes, Inc.  Alyssa previously served as the sales/marketing manager for RO Imports, an importer of boutique New Zealand wines in New York and co-presided over a 500-person wine club at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Alyssa priorly served as the National Finance Director for Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky's re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2002 election cycle, raising over $1 million. Alyssa earned a B.A. in Political Science and the History of Art from Yale University in 2000 and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business in 2005. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Alyssa is the author of Bottlenotes Guide to Wine: Around the World in 80 Sips. (Adam's Media, Released October 2008). Alyssa was also named in Inc. Magazine's "30 Under 30". coolest entrepreneurs in America in September 2008. Alyssa co-resides in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area but greatly enjoys traveling around the world in search of today's best wines
