Tomorrow's Women, World Conference

Join UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (UKRC) for a day of future gazing that will be both inspiring and strategic.

Looking to the future is an important exercise - more so in times of accelerated change and economic difficulty. Participants will envisage and explore gender equality in science, engineering, technology and the built environment (SET) workforce of 2030 in order to identify and share strategies and solutions for today.
Top speakers, stimulating workshops and interactive exhibits, followed by drinks and networking time.
Chair: Maggie Philbin, journalist and broadcaster, former presenter of Tomorrow's World.

Nicola Brewer, Chief Executive, Equality and Human Rights Commission
Dr. Wendy L. Schultz , futurologist. Director of Infinite Futures: Foresight Research, Training, and Facilitation
Professor Sylvia Walby, UNESCO Chair in Gender Research & Professor of Sociology, Lancaster University
Annette Williams, Director, UK  Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology
and

Top female space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin will launch 'She's an Astronomer',the UK women's programme for the International Year of Astronomy 2009.
