Christina Romer, Chair, President's Council of Economic Advisers
The chair of the president's council of economic advisers gives an inside look at the government's plans to revive the ailing economy.
President Obama has articulated an ambitious agenda for health-care reform seeking to stem cost growth while maintaining quality and choice, and providing affordable care for all Americans. On June 8, Romer, chair of President Obamašs Council of Economic Advisers, will discuss a new CEA study on the economic case for health-care reform. She will highlight the potential economic gains from achieving significant reform, while also addressing the risks to the economy of maintaining the status quo or failing to achieve the goals of cost containment and coverage expansion.
