Cardea Center for Women Presents: Women's Economic Forum This event titled "Women's Economic Forum: Weathering the Economic Storm" will feature top leaders providing strategies, tips and resources to enable women to advance during this downturn and is all about supporting women in all sectors of the economy during/after the current economic crisis. The daylong session will cover educational and hands-on informational sessions for women to explore the options open to them for overcoming their economic hardships or problems. Program Highlights: At the morning plenary panel women will gain knowledge about the current crisis, and in the afternoon interactive breakouts refine their critical skills. Local experts lead both sessions from community-based organizations, philanthropy, government and the corporate sector. *Training and skill-development *Entrepreneurial opportunities *Micro-enterprise *Labor trends *Financial management and other topics. Astia's Katie Nittler, VP Silicon Valley will be there to speak on networking tips and tools to professional women needing access to resources and guidance for retaining and /or finding new jobs.
