Dispelling the myths about raising finance of up to £2m:
In spite of the financial markets collapsing around our ears, there are still private investors (business angels, dragons or whatever you wish to call them) out there keen to invest in early-stage, high-growth ventures. Many investors are already over-exposed in traditional asset classes such as property and the stock market, and are looking for growth. One way is to invest in entrepreneurs. But how come so many entrepreneurs fail to raise finance?
The talk will outline the most common reasons investors reject proposals, as well as how to get them excited about your venture.
This event is suitable for entrepreneurs, start-ups, early-stage and growing businesses and private investors.
Guest Speaker: Oliver Woolley, Partner, Envestors LLP (www.envestors.co.uk) and Executive Director, British Business Angels Association (www.bbaa.org.uk)
