See over 20 of the best new technology business ideas in the world, all vying for prizes at the 5th Annual Intel+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge.
The entrepreneurial environment is rapidly becoming global through the mobility of capital, people and technology. The Lester Center at UC Berkeley have partnered with Intel Corporation to create the premier global, technology-focused, business plan competition in the world. This competition brings the winning teams from university-centric competitions from around the world here to UC Berkeley to compete in the heart of the U.S. entrepreneurial community.
In emerging markets, innovation and entrepreneurship are particularly important. The Challenge showcases business opportunities from these areas that have the greatest potential for a positive impact on society through the deployment of new and truly innovative technologies. Through the Challenge, Intel and UC Berkeley are committed to aiding universities worldwide in providing an environment, including technical and business curricula, that supports entrepreneurs and helps them make their dreams a reality.
This year, more the than 20 entrants will compete in a semi-final round on Wednesday, November 18 and be narrowed down to 8 teams that will compete in Thursday’s finals. The teams represent universities in Latin America, Europe, Asia and the U.S. This diverse group of student teams will bring with them some of the brightest new ideas in the world!
Event and Registration Information
The program begins EARLY with a networking hour at 6:00 PM with complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the Bank of America Forum at the Haas School of Business.
