Thursday, April 29 2010, 6:00pm - 9:00pm
The UC Berkeley Business Plan Competition is
the marquee entrepreneurship event at UC Berkeley, nurturing entrepreneurial
action across the campus community. The competition gives students, alumni and
local entrepreneurs the opportunity to work together to turn innovative ideas
into real businesses. The event also brings together the finest research and
technology ideas from both UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco. Each year
participants develop business plans that are based on some of the most exciting
new technologies.
The UC Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum will present a
very special program on April 29th when it joins with the student organizers of
the 2010 UC Berkeley Business Plan Competition to showcase the finalists of this
year's competition and award prizes to the winners. The Bay Area entrepreneurial
community is invited to join us for an exciting evening featuring the best and
the brightest new ventures. Forum audience members will be invited to
participate in the selection of the People's Choice Award and the newly added
Elevator Pitch Award, which carry a $5000 and $1,000 prize
respectively.
The program begins earlier than usual, at 6:00pm, with a
networking hour with complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the Bank of
America Forum at the Haas School of Business. The program begins at 6:45pm.
Because of the special schedule, we will not offer the "numbers" at this
