CUTEC's 8th Annual Technology Ventures Conference, 9 June, Cambridge Union
With one week to go, the Cambridge University Technology & Enterprise Club (CUTEC) is delighted to announce the confirmation of Red Gate Software, ARM, MedImmune, Plastic Logic, Ubisense and Domino Printing showcasing as part of the Cambridge Diamond Exhibition at the Technology Ventures Conference (TVC; http://tvc2011.cutec.org) along with Shell, Mozilla and GlaxoSmithKline running interactive workshops.
Eighteen local Cambridge technology start-up companies such as Eight19 will compete in a “Dragons’ Den”-like competition on the day for the ‘Technology Start-up of the Year' with a prize comprising of £3K along with a placement at Silicon Valley’s Plug & Play Center on top of consultancy support for finalists from BDO, SNR Denton, Stradbroke Advisors, Balderton Capital and many more.
The TVC will address the importance of the Ideas Economy and its impact on high-tech clusters on the 9th June 2011 at the Cambridge Union Society. The impressive line-up of speakers include the CEO of Virgin Galactic (George Whitesides), Global Business Development at P&G (Mike Addison), Co-Founder of Seymourpowell (Dick Powell) and the BBC Technology Correspondent (Rory Cellan-Jones).
