Borrowing from the underground blogging and social networking traditions, AO was launched in 2003 and has emerged as a leader in the “open media” revolution. The network’s content focuses on the sweet spots in the technology markets where innovation is disrupting behavior and creating new business opportunities. ![]() AMITA The Association of MIT Alumnae is an independent, non-profit group dedicated to: promoting MIT alumnae accomplishments and history, maintaining connections among alumnae, and supporting women on campus. AMITA is dedicated to providing a means for former women students to maintain contact with each other and MIT. AMITA also supports current women students at MIT with various on-campus activities, giving them a chance to meet and talk to alumnae. The Association holds a variety of events around the country to provide alumnae with an opportunity to stay in touch and to stay informed about issues and developments that are relevant to their lives. ![]() Angel News AngelNews is the leading online news service for the investment market, especially for business angels, venture capitalists and the companies that they invest in. On the AngelNews website, companies can sign up to create a free profile featuring their logo, company description and contact details, as well as upload news, developments and press releases to their page so that investors can read about what they are up to. ![]() Anita Borg Institute We are women technologists. We are a formal group of more than 120 former and current high tech executives who are interested in investing their time and money into new, cutting edge, startup companies. And it’s through these exchanges that WIC delivers the greatest benefits to its membership, from networking and educational events to online resources for managing a consulting business.![]() Women Presidents Organization The WPO is headquartered in New York City and currently boasts over 75 active chapters and over 1000 members across the US and in Canada. There are two primary membership options: Chapter and Member-At-Large. Each chapter meets monthly, consists of 10-20 women presidents/CEOs/Managing Directors/etc, and is moderated by a professionally-trained facilitator. Chapters are not permitted to have more than one business in the same industry represented.
