About Astia
Astia’s mission is to foster the full participation and leadership of women in entrepreneurship and as accelerators of high growth businesses. Astia – formerly the Women's Technology Cluster - was founded in 1999 by Cate Muther, former CMO of Cisco as part of her foundation, the Three Guineas Fund. Astia became an independent not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, in 2003. We accelerate the funding and growth of companies through three exclusive programs that are designed for start-ups at all stages. These programs are supported by over 350 members of Astia’s Advisor Network that includes more than 70 former and current CEOs and 80 investors. Astia Executive Services for Women-Led StartupsAstia offers customized executive services for women-led companies that accelerate access to capital, address core business challenges to ensure the companies achieve high growth, and increase the financial literacy and leadership of the founders. Our ClientsAt Astia, we focus our attention on a small number of high-potential companies. Each company is carefully screened by industry experts and investors. Companies that are accepted into our programs benefit from significant subsidies provided by the generosity of our sponsors. We work with, on average each year, 55-60 companies in three programs:
