Liam Bartlett

Liam is serving as an MBA intern on Astia’s Investment Team, working across all of Astia's investment vehicles (Astia Fund, Angels, and Edge). He formally worked for Deloitte Consulting in their Strategy & Analytics practice. In this role, Liam was first introduced to venture capital through a side initiative that he co-led which required him to conduct detailed market analysis on exciting and innovative startups within Financial Services and Healthcare.

Liam is currently pursuing his MBA at Yale’s School of Management where he has developed hands-on experience from both the investor and entrepreneurial side of Private Capital. Liam recently partnered with a Yale School of Medicine instructor and two Yale college students to start the business – EnlighteN. EnlighteN addresses an urgent, unmet need for a software that can instantaneously detect opioid-induced overdose while providing first responders with key health metrics in real-time.

During the 2022 Summer, Liam interned with Pyramidia Ventures, an agri-food sustainability focused venture builder based in Nairobi, Kenya. Liam led the development of one of the portfolio’s ventures – Womega – to help define the operating model and to grow the business.

Liam is excited to work with and learn from the team at Astia. Most notably, Astia has taught him the importance of innovating on the venture model to address the gender and racial disparity in VC.
